AutoQR.am lets people message a car's driver through Telegram without seeing each other's phone numbers or accounts. We keep as little as possible and never keep your messages.
What we keep about you
Only your Telegram ID (the number Telegram uses to deliver messages) and your app language. We don't keep your name, @username or phone number.
What we store
Cars you add: the license plate, country, an optional name (for example “White Prius”), your sticker design and your settings (alerts on/off, search by plate on/off).
If you choose to print a phone number on your sticker, it is saved with the sticker design. It is printed on the sticker only, never shown in the app.
Messages: we don't keep them. Telegram delivers them between the two chats. While a conversation is open, the app only remembers which car and reason it is about, so replies reach the right person.
Protection against abuse: a count of alerts per car, kept for one hour.
Donations: the Telegram Stars payment reference, amount and date, used for the Supporter badge and refunds. Payments are handled by Telegram; we never see card details.
What other people see
Someone who scans your QR code or finds your car by its plate sees only the plate, the language you prefer and, if you donated, the Supporter badge. They never see your name, username, phone number or Telegram account (unless you printed a phone number on your sticker).
Search by plate finds a car only by its exact, full plate. You can turn it off for each car; the QR code keeps working.
Where data is processed
The app and database run on Cloudflare. Messages are delivered by Telegram. If you email us, the message is handled by Cloudflare Email Routing, Google (Gmail) and Brevo (for our replies).
We do not sell or share your data, and the app and this website use no advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Keeping and deleting your data
Delete a car in the app and it is removed together with its QR code. To remove everything else (your Telegram ID and language), email hello@autoqr.am and we will do it within 30 days.
Children
AutoQR.am is meant for drivers and is not intended for children under 16.

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above.
